Want some free bees? Of course you do! Catching swarms is one of the most thrilling and exciting aspects of beekeeping -- who doesn't love free bees? In this meeting we will cover the aspects of swarm collection, from what you'll need to how to rehome them in your apiary. Hope to see you there!

About the event
NC certified Journeyman Beekeeper and UCNCBA Vice President / Treasurer, Trish Thompson, will be providing a comprehensive presentation on what you need to know in order to swarm management in your own hives and to perform your own swarm collection, including techniques for capturing the swarm, the equipment you will need, and how to rehome them in your bee yard!
And for those interested, you can even request to join our Union County Bee Swarm Collection Team, which during swarming season, fields requests for removal from all residents all across the county.
