About the event
Your hive is an ecosystem… but it’s also a toolkit. Apitherapy is the use of honeybee products—like honey, propolis, pollen, beeswax, royal jelly, and in some practices bee venom -- in complementary wellness traditions.
This month, we’re excited to welcome Master Beekeeper Trish Thompson from Pollen Peddlers Apiary for an engaging presentation that blends beekeeper practicality with apitherapy education, including a strong emphasis on safety protocols and informed decision-making. Trish is also associated with the broader apitherapy community as a Board Member of the American Apitherapy Society and an apitherapy educator/speaker.
What you’ll learn:
What apitherapy is (and what it isn’t)
The “big five” hive products people talk about in apitherapy—and how beekeepers think about quality, handling, and sourcing
A grounded overview of bee venom therapy as it’s discussed in apitherapy circles—and why safety matters
